What is sample?

Sample is:
A subset of the population. As discussed in the previous post, sample is used for:
– Practical considerations
– Time considerations

There are generally two types of sampling:
  1. Probability sampling - random – Robust as random sampling allows selection of representative samples
  2. Non-probability sampling - non random – Less robust but might be the most appropriate for some of the studies where random sampling is not possible
